Chris Mooney is a Philadelphia native now living in beautiful Woodbury, Connecticut  with his wife, Cindy, two sons, Christopher and Michael and their daughter, Molly Kate.

Chris took his first hot-air balloon flight in the fall of 1977 and obtained his commercial license in July, 1979.  He started his own balloon business, Mooney Time, flying mostly corporate balloons, 7-Up in the Philadelphia area and Re/Max in Connecticut.

Chris served as President of Great Eastern Balloon Association, "GEBA", in 1987 and 1988, and Vice-President of the Connecticut Lighter-Than-Air Society in 1990, and President in 1991.  Chris has the honor of being the first recipient of the Ted Torek Sportsmanship Award, GEBA's highest.
